There's a common misconception that eating a cruelty free diet in only possible for the privileged few in western countries, this just isn't the case. There's many great tasty and cruelty free options available in many other countries around the world. There are many traditional dishes from various countries around the world that are completely cruelty free.
EUROPE:
In Italy pasta is a popular dish that is usually dairy and meat free despite the misconception that it always has eggs.
In Morocco, Greece and the Middle-East falafels are a staple dish which is similar to meat but is made primarily from chickpeas.
In Greece there is many other popular cruelty free dishes such as pittas and humus.
ASIA:
In China there are tons of great cruelty free foods such as tofu, vegetable spring rolls, rice and many other vegetable based dishes.
In India and Thailand there are 100s of options; most Indian & Thai curries offer a vegetable based alternative and lentils are also a popular dish.
In Mongolia a vegetable stir fry is a very popular and well available dish.
CENTRAL AMERICA: (ish)
In Mexico there are 100s of popular dishes such as bean burgers, nachos, vegetable tacos, veggie burritos, guacamole and enchiladas. Many of these dishes are also widely available in other countries such as Honduras and Guatemala.
In Jamaica there are many rice and bean based dishes and vegetable patties are also popular.
To sum up; eating cruelty free isn't just for the rich - there's many great options around the world wherever you live!
